ACRYLICS is an immersive art installation created by multidisciplinary artist ICECOLD and presented by A.I.R. Gallery. Our role was to support the project with 3D visualization and technical planning to ensure the concept could be executed exactly as envisioned. Working closely with ICECOLD’s creative direction, we translated her idea into buildable layouts, detailed renders, and spatial studies that maintained the intensity and precision of the installation’s all-red environment.

Creative сhallenges
Rendering a completely monochromatic red environment required developing accurate lighting simulations to avoid color distortion and ensure the sculptural hands and displayed works remained clearly readable. We also focused on visualizing the spatial rhythm created by hundreds of protruding elements, helping the client validate sightlines and visitor flow before installation.
One challenge was ensuring that the heavy use of red didn’t flatten the space visually. Our team produced lighting tests and material studies that helped preserve depth, contrast, and the sculptural presence of the hands.

We highlighted key storytelling moments like the central desk and the framed portraits to ensure they remained strong anchors within the monochrome environment.
